In March and April 1998, we acquired two bar code software companies to strengthen our position in the fast-growing automatic identification and data collection market. The acquisition of Techniques Avancees (Auch, France) and GrafTek Inc. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) established TEKLYNX as a new global team dedicated to providing customers with advanced identification solutions.
In November 2001, we acquired StrandWare, Inc. (Eau Claire, WI), a leading developer of bar code label design software. The strength of StrandWare's market position and well-established reseller network combined with the TEKLYNX software product offerings strengthened our position as the market leader in packaged software products for the AIDC industry.
These acquisitions added CODESOFT®, LABELVIEW™, and LABEL MATRIX® label design software and BACKTRACK® asset and inventory software to the TEKLYNX portfolio of products. In addition to these products, we offer LABEL ARCHIVE™ security and traceability software, SENTINEL™ server-side printing software, and IDEAM™ application development software. Together these applications provide a complete solution for product identification and tracking.
Over 600,000 companies rely on our software for applications such as receiving, inventory management, product identification, product control, and shipping.
TEKLYNX-branded products are sold through a global network of over 1,500 resellers and integrators, including TEKLYNX Certified Integrators, Solution Providers, Distributors and OEM and Printer Manufacturers.
